Default starting and stopping question

is there any long term affects or is it bad to start up your jeep and move it or something and turn it right back off after 30 seconds with out the engine ever even getting heated up
could it do any damage or any sort

Doing that repeatedly could cause condensation to build up in the oil, the water in the oil will form acids that can etch the bearings and cause rust to form inside the engine.

How frequently? If you do that 50 times in a row I'd be surprised if you didn't need a new battery, lol. Of course increased wear on the starter, and maybe internal to the engine too. I recall reading somewhere, maybe here, that a significant portion of an engine's wear is from starting cold. Don't remember any specifics but I've always kept it in mind.
