I'm out if my league here. You have an ASD relay and a number of mini fuses. Might be while you are cranking to start that is bypassed, then needed either right after you let off the key or very shortly after. Just a thought.

Will try the auto shutdown relay and associated fuses. I'm running out of options

I'm not getting power to it, that's where I force fed power into the circuit after I bypassed it with alligator clips

I have checked everything that I thought could be related to stalling immediately after starting, and have followed all suggestions I have received this far, and have not resolved the issue. I have checked every mounting bolt after I put a fresh gasket on my air intake, along with replacing every vacuum hose on it, have checked map sensor, new throttle body with new IAC system and new TPS, restored power current to the ballast resistor, then bypassed it. Verified I have correct fuel pressure and voltage to fuel pump. Checked auto shutdown circuit. Verified wiring harness at distributor, coil, and alternator is in good shape. Is there ANYTHING I'm missing, please tell me I am.

I'm at a loss. Does your 91 even have that relay? I thought the start relay went to a cube in 91.

In my sig is a link to "tom's" wiring diagrams. Maybe I'll poke around a bit to learn something about your HO W/pcm.

Finding tjwalker or ccken might help here.

Just to clarify...with power jumped to the fuel pump, it fires for a second, then dies. But not unless power is jumped.

Weather or not spark is related to that jump or not might be a point. Does it spark without the jumper?

I'm still stuck on the ASD relay.... If you can find it try jumping from the hot 30 terminal socket, to to 87 with the (relay out)

Lot's of things can cause that Auto Shutdown Relay to, well .....shut it down! (Renix does not have one of those)

The relay in my truck is the cube type, just like you thought.

It fires then dies whether the ballast resistor is jumped or not

It sparks with and without the jump. But it looks like an anemic yellow spark, and shouldn't it be blue?

As for the ASD, I had a brand new starter relay put in, so to verify the ASD relay ws bad, I swapped the old ASD relay with the new starter relay. So I had the ASD in the starter slot and vice versa, and the starter turned over just fine, after all, my 6 relays all have the same size and same serial number. Still just fired up then died. But I didn't jump the 30 to the 87

May be a long shot..but you could try a "noid" light on the injector connectors and confirm that your inj. are firing...I had shorted inj. wires (degraded wire INSULATION) on the downstream side of the ballast in the harness once...

Now that I'm back in town, I plan on trying to jump the relay, and will experiment with the Noid lights for the injectors. Will post results

Again, I'm still trying to master Renix and pretty rough on HO. Thought I saw somewhere dieing like that is the ASD not continuing...The relays themselves don't seem to fail often, but the mini fuse to that ASD can be a problem since it blows for lots of reasons.

In your shoes I might jump 30 and 87 for just a second to see if that stabs it.
