Absolutely, They could save your rear. The only other option was a hand pump or an air tank. We used to see a lot of pipe bumpers in those days on offroad vehicles and ranch trucks. They would weld them up into air tanks front and rear.

Pipe bumpers and chuggers...interesting, never heard of either before, but both are good ideas.

They worked when you needed them. But back in those days everyone also carried at least two spares, sometimes three. And still needed the sparkplug pump sometimes. Here's one for you... Some carried a 5 gallon propane can and would air em up with propane to get home or to the shop. lol

Stay strong... I have trouble sometimes too. Lol Luckily I got most of that out of my system when I was younger. Everything tends to lean towards "practical" anymore.

Somebody way back when used to manufacture aftermarket bumpers that had a built in air tank. I think it was Runck. I did not have that bumper but ran their front bumper, rear bumper, and nerf bars on my CJ2A.

Hi, my Sport is a '99.
I like the way your's sits, so I thought I'd copy your parts list.
Everywhere I look the Moog CC782 turn up as not compatible with the '99 (or 2000)
Is there something I'm missing???

They'll fit. It's just they weren't used in those years so they're not listed as a replacement.

Tbone, your rig looks awesome! Did you consider an OME 2.5" lift? I'm considering going your route, or OME on my (sagging) 99 XJ. OME springs are supposed to be the bomb. Whichever spring setup, I'll get a set of Bilstein 5100s.
