Steel or aluminum wheels?
#18
Thats funny...my "street poser" has seen quite a crapload of trail time over the course of 4 years and 3 sets of alloy rims...and i havnt broken any. Meanwhile I've watched friends replace steel wheels due to pitting, and dent destruction.
I'll be sure to stick to the street from now on to be safe.

but edit
the lower you air down, the more prone to damage your wheels are
i bent one wheel to the point where it didn't hold air, got home and pounded it back and its giggity good to go. that and the many rock hits on the outer lips of mah wheelz. dunno how an alloy wheel would stand up to my jeep, but i wanna find out now (/hate you)

Seriously man, no hate train here. Let's all be chill.
I'm keeping my steel tires, but if anyone sees a black center cap for the wheels (like my avatar/photo ones) would you mind letting me know?

Steel. Not that it matters to me. I never damaged a wheel in 11 years. I don't air down. What's the point of airing down? to be cool?
the only downside to steelies is you get a bad one every once in a while.
I had allums on my dodge dakota. scratched em, ruined em, looked ugly afterwards. I scratched a number of steelies and the rust grows and covers the scratches nicely.
so it looks like i prefer steelies.
