Been thru it with all mine. After what you got in it new, I'd rotate the tires and see what happens, could have one of the fronts out of balance, most likely right side.
My recent experience is the '99 I just aquired. She had a bit of wobble around 50 mph when I got her. The tires were marginal at best, and had the misfortune of having to put some Slime in the right front. The wobble got much worse, but I did make it the 200 miles home. Fresh skins helped alot, but I still had some worn front end parts to deal with. I get a little shake or none at all at 50mph now, depending on the road surface.
A common trait of solid axle vehicles like these, could be any number of things, but rotate the tires first. Cheep and simple.

I have some shaking as well between 60 and 65. I know I have worn suspension parts and I am taking care of this (or so I think..). Check the "free" stuff first like tire inflation, and rotate them like GibsonSG suggests. At some point, I had shaking from the back. I rotated the tires and the shaking clearly moved to the front. On top of worn suspension bushings, etc I have an inflation issue, and maybe a wheel balancing one. Also, once the tires get worn because of a specific issue that in itself will create shaking.

Same thing is happening to my jeep. 55+ mph it starts shaking. I've basically replaced the whole front end trying to track it down. I'll be following this thread

Mine wabbles bad at 47mph but it has 31" tires that rub on the fenders when i turn a corner. Could that cause the wabble? Plus one of the front tires is is bald in the center, not on the sides so i think the alighnment is good. By the way i don't think theres a lift on it, so isn't the death wobble more common on the jeeps with a lift?

I have two xj's now an both have had this prob, the first one a 96 i replaced the right front hub assy an that removed most of the wobble but not all. the 2nd xj a 2000 is much worse than the 96 I'm going to replace the right front hub and put a bigger sway bar off a grand, if they really fit I'm not sure the bigger sway bars will fit still checking into it. I will post results as I go. It may take me a couple weeks.
