1-5/16". And yes, you WILL need a big *** socket (not a wrench) and a 4ft cheater bar

Will the Durango pitman arm work? Just curious if I find one at the u-pullit, that way I don't have to deal with removing it.

no it won't, the steering attaches differently. You'll need to use your jeep pitman arm

Thanks. I'm sure I'd have realized it when I found one, but now I know to bring a puller.

just an FYI - you have to pull the box with all the linkage attached out the front of the grille. There is a massive crossmember directly below the pitman arm nut and idler arms. You'll need to puller to get that apart when you finally get it out of the truck though. When i pulled mine i removed the radiator, both tires, and the entire front clip to get enough access to the box and linkage.

So, old thread revival again, I just bought a stocker replacement gear box from Napa, but I have 11 jeeps. Will the 99 durango V8 steering box fit in the 88-01 XJ and the 93-98 ZJ if you go to napa and just buy it instead?
