Steering Column downgrade
I have a 96 XJ with the airbag column.
I crashed the Cherokee originally when I blew brakelines on an emergency stop and blew the airbag.
I took out the bag and then put a new cap on it.
The steering wheel is pretty chewed up anyways, and I dont want another airbag.
Ok Story over.
I want to downgrade the sterring column to a non airbag style so I can have to the good old fashioned JEEP steering wheel.
Will it match up, will I have wiring trouble, I got cruise but I have no use for it.
Has anyone ever done this mod?

The airbag blew and I dont want to put another one in.
I just want to know what to look for in the JeepBoneyard...
Will the harnesses stay the same, will the new column take my original key cylinder, what about the blinker/wiper stalk.
