What do you mean it's missing? It's a flange with a couple bolts that bolts directly to the firewall...?
This is an old one but there's nothing that comes apart...

Yes it's the part right before 11. The last time i went wheeling i came off a ledge and it popped. Then the steering started bounceing around and popping when i turned it to far. So i guess i broke that flange huh?

He has the new style/design that does not have the Toe Plate flange.
Not sure when Jeep made the change.

When I read it was a rockcrawler I thought it might have been FrankenJeeped.
Just checking to see which he has.
If he has the one with the flange and it broke off, where did it go?
Would have fell on the floor, no. But I think if, "The last time i went wheeling i came off a ledge and it popped." more than the flange sould be messed up.
The question I have is what column is in the veh?

My steering column is still factory i have not changed it in anyway. It does not look anything like the one in the picture but looks about the same as the one in the diagram. From what i can see from the engine compartment it looks like the piece is plastic. I have not had a chance to look under the dash and see what that looks like but i will look tonight. Thanks

It's not even close to the one in the diagram unless you have a97 and up dash. The tilt mechanism in gotta is in the upper column rather than at the mounts, and your air bag is non electronic.
