Steering Column Problems
I have a 87 jeep wagoneer, 4.0L auto.
I was trying to fix the problem with my wiper switch, they werent working at all. The electromechanic told us that the switch was bad, to either find the switch, or to avoid the pulling apart, find a whole steering column.
Well, I found one and pulled it but my wipers still wont work.
Can somebody tell me what else can I check to make sure it isnt the motor, or anything else that I might have overlooked???

under the driver's side dash, velcro'd to the knee board, is the wiper delay module. it's a rectangle box with a multi-wire connector on either side. unplug the connectors from the box and then plug the wires directly together to bypass that box. then try it. if it works, go to the junkyard and get a "new" delay box.
