Well here it is...I receieved my 1993 Country from my mother after it was stolen. She knew how much i wanted it and after it was stolen from her and needed much work as a result of some dirtbag taking the parts he wanted and destroying the ignition, my mom hooked me up. i am finally getting to the radio...they pulled out the stock radio and cut the OEM harness. I want to install a decent cd player/radio, but i dont know anything about car stereos. Do i need to replace the OEM harness or can i wire in a after market? Considering I am so green at this, as much info as anyone can spare would be greatly appreciated.

Where to begin!!

Decent head unit. I am assuming you want fairly good quality music out of your system. I know, I know what happens when you assume.

With that assumption, is why I choose an iPod over MP3 all of my music is ripped in 2 formats FLAC and Apple Lossless. No ACC or MP3 in my rips. Now at home I stream MOG at 320kbps which is barely acceptable.

So here is my recommendation. This is the unit I put in our jeep.

It is a single DIN unit I know it has the iPod interface and the USB interface also. Not the most inexpensive unit out there but very nice.

You can add Sirius, XM, Garmin NAV, Rear Camera, etc.
