Stereo/Sound System
I have an 88 cherokee cheif I'm getting ready to put a deck, speakers, and subs in. I cant find door speakers or know the size for sure. Anyone with extras pm me! I'll buy! Also in the rear hatch there was one 6x9 but it didnt seem it was bolted in right. there are two spots which look for speakers which one was were the 6x9 was but it didnt look right to me. I basically need to know sizes of speakers and location and any information at all on this. Got audio stuff that will fit my jeep? Hit me up. Ill pay! Need to get full system done in two weeks or so.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Haha you bump after two minutes?
Just take the panels off and look. A few screws or bolts is all that'll take. I couldn't tell you exactly the sizes but it won't be hard to find out for yourself

You already have em out? Well pull out a ruler and get to work! As far as the rear hatch speakers, I'm not positive. I haven't upgraded mine yet so I couldn't tell you exactly

6.5" isn't that big. slight metal trimming and redrilling mounting holes in the door will be needed. the door covers will need no mods. Unless you want to put the speaker covers on.
The fiberglass hatches of the earlier XJ's had the speakers screwed into the fiberglass. Often the screws would pull out and bigger screws are needed.
I removed the OEM cover and threw it in the trash! I used a piece of plywood, cut it to fit the hatch, made speaker cutouts, stained it, and screwed it to the hatch every few inches. Be carefull how tight you screw anything to the fiberglass hatch.
I mounted the speakers to the plywood over the stock speaker location.
4 6.5" speakers sound way better than 4 5.25" speakers. And with your Sub it should sound great!
Good luck
