Ok, here's an update. I got the gas drained out of the tank, as much as the fuel pump could get out anyhow. I poured five gallons of fresh gas in. It now fires more often, but still won't start.

Here's another vid but it's pretty much the same thing as the first one. This is one continuous crank, though it still seems like the timing is wrong from the pauses, but it's not.

Yes, but I have the correct firing order. The thing ran fine last year when I could start it, I don't see that it would have stripped any teeth off of gears sitting still for a year, so how could it be the timing? This thing has me stumped.

you now your getting fuel and spark because it would not back fire when you messed with the wire you stated eariler

after you get it to tdc on compression stroke remove cap note were the rotor is pointing to on the cap posts that is were no1 spark plug should be then run the firing order no1 can go any where as long as the firing order is followed after that the firing order is in my pics

First off... Hummer conspiracy?

Secondly, once I have it TDC and take the cap off, it doesn't matter if the rotor is pointing to the correct place on the cap, I can just move the wires to match where the rotor is and it will work?

I just don't see how it would have jumped timing after just sitting for a little more than a year.

it will eliminate it out of the picture one other thing is still how wet you intake was in the pic you posted possible flooding but the vid you posted sounds like timing
