I'm also not entirely sure how a fuel injected car floods the intake manifold like that when the injectors shoot directly into the cylinder head.

I don't know too much about the FPR. I could try swapping it for the one off my Laredo and see if that makes a difference, but it's been sitting longer than the one I'm currently working on, and had more miles on it.

Well, I felt the air coming out of the #1 spark plug hole, got it TDC, took the distributor cap off, and it's lined up with the #6 cylinder, so it's jumped ahead a whole cylinder!?!
This thing just became a pain in my ***.

Well, upon closer inspection, the dizzy is not quite lined up with the #6 at TDC, it's slightly ahead, about 3/4 of the way between 1 and 6. That means that #1 still wouldn't ignite until after TDC, and if the dizzy is lined up with the wrong cylinder, wouldn't that mean the valve timing is too? Or is that controlled separately from the distributor? Like I said, I'm sure I got it on the right TDC because I could feel the air being pushed out of the spark plug hole.

Sorry again, it is the #5 cylinder that it's closer to, not the #6. #6 is completely opposite of the #1. But, either way, it's not lined up with #1.

I was wrong about the cylinder, I was trying to go by wires that I had disconnected, and somehow I mixed the 5 and 6 wires up, it's only about 60 degrees ahead, not 180, it's almost on the #5 cylinder and NOT the #6 like I said earlier.
