Default stock ride height and spring arch 99

So my friend has a 99 that she is starting to drive more frequently. I thought her leafs were shot because they seemed mostly flat. I haven't had a stock lift in 20 something years. The car is level but I was worried about the flatness of the springs. I measured from top of axle to the frame rail and saw that it was slightly less than 6 inches. Saw a post yesterday which numerous people said that 6 inch give or take is stock lift. Is that flatness ok and normal? They are rusty and could probably use replacement anyway, but it seems less urgent after I saw the other post..Thanks

If they are flat or frowning, they are shot. Measuring will tell you nothing due to all the variables

I disagree. Measuring is the way to tell, assuming the shackles are factory and there are no lift blocks.

OP, your method of measuring sounds correct. 6" between the top of the axle tube and the bottom of the unibody rail with the vehicle at curb weight is stock height.
