STOCK XJ -- tire size
Was on vacation with my teenage son from H______ in Arizona for Spring Training. Well -- the 245X75X16 tires rub way too much on the back section of rear wheel wells. A few days before we left, Discount got the 235's in and they were fine until I hit freeway dips with a loaded Jeep and at 70-75 MPH. On some moderate trails it did not seem to rub very much.
Changed out the plugs and cleaned the trottle body 2 days before we left and the XJ ran fantastic and only ran a tiny bit hot one day when the temp was up and we got stuck in Phoenix freeway backup. Just opened the windows and turned off the AC and we were fine.
Padres look so-so and the Giants look like they will win the division again this year. That Scottsdale complex is way too small for the "World" Champs to stay in much longer. They have to split up the players and work out at another site for the Rookies, A and AA players.
The dual team complexes are much nicer and you can actually park on site. I had to park at a guys house in his front yard at Scottsdale. We spent 2 days at Peoria and had a great time. I have coached my son since he was 5 and now he can see other techniques and styles ... I guess mine were not too bad all these years.
Still looking into a 2 or 3 inch lift for next year .

Stock xj tires size
SO -- I as following up on a post about 1 month ago about STOCK XJ tire sizes. For a 16" wheel you could probably get away with a 235/70/16 and not rub. It is approx. 29" tall. If you go 235/75/16 it is approx. 29.9 inches tall and rubs too much.
For 15 inch wheels it would be different; but check the conversion chart and stay 29 inches or less ....
I just did not want to do any cutting yet.
