Strange box connected to fuel rail
Hi!
does anyone know what this is? I’m thinking some kind of heater. It seems like it has the Eberspächer logo on it if that helps.
The car is a Jeep xj 1992 limited special 4.0 high output

Well that's a first for me. Never seen anything like that.
The last pic shows what looks like a small fuel pump, might this jeep have had a aftermarket stand alone heater in it of some sort. I could see this being a small reservoir added to the jeeps stock fuel system that the small pump then used to feed the after market heater. If that's what it is, its pretty smart, no need for an extra tank or tapping the big tank.

The previous owner told me that this Jeep was made for the eu market (imported from germany) so maybe they kitted these models with heaters.
Thanks for the reply!
