2 simple basic things to check while you wait for your FP test kit to arrive

* take of the oil filler cap, and inspect it for any white cream
* take off the radiator cap with engine cool, and running and see if there are bubbles

either of these would indicate a failed head gasket, no tools needed

why do you think the cylinder head gasket may have failed? the problem arose suddenly, within a few minutes. I arrived at the paddock after a leisurely half hour ride and turned off the car. I said goodbye to some friends and I would have gone home .... there the problem started.

after the checks, suggest me, except the one with the car running (it doesn't start anymore, not even badly), and I didn't find anything ....

It's because you said 2 day rally. A rally is seriously hard on an engine.

maybe google translator has exaggerated .... two-day-rally is excessive, maybe two-day-meeting is more suitable

With the renix I don't know but on 97+ there is a so-called shrader valve on the fuel line (in the engine bay part of the line) that you hook this up to.

But you might have to wait until renix folks in the US wake up and point you where to hook the gauge to.

That fuel pressure reading is too low

You need to check the specs for your year, but I have an idea its around 39psi

You may have a bad fuel pump, blocked filter, leak in system or faulty fuel injector

I'm awake now!! 1.5 mugs of coffee ingested.
Steve, that pressure appears low. 31 is the lowest you should see, and 39 highest.
Do you have any starting fluid you could spray into the throttle body and see if it starts?

Here's what Roler uses down in Australia.

sorry for the question, perhaps stupid, but the pressure reading must be done with the jeep on?
