I'm dating myself but remember the movie"Christine" with the possessed car?
Somehow related. When I used to do this stuff for a living some people with early VW Rabbits would go out in the morning and the car wasn't where they left it. Turned out that if you had a manual transmission, parked it in gear, didn't set the parking brake and it rained water would come in thru a badly sealed antenna wire and run down onto the board that had a starter relay on it. The starter motor would then move the car. Took them a while to figure that one out

Thankfully we also had AMC, Jeep and Renault....

Steve, I'm stumped as to why it would start after the fuel pressure test or letting fuel pressure off of the rail.
Next time it starts, wiggle the various wiring looms and connectors in the engine bay and see what happens.

I came back after the holidays and I wanted to try the jeep better the other times, if it started (often with difficulty), I only used it for a few minutes and it worked well. I used it today and after 20 minutes it started mumbling again, don't take rpm and turn off. she wasn't start anymore. after an hour she left and with difficulty I got home. while I was trying to start I tried to bleed the rail and it seemed to me that a lot of air was coming out ...

I'm betting you have a fuel delivery issue. Might not be the pump itself, but the hose attached to it. Allows the pump to suck air. And you know if that hose is bad, it's only gonna get worse.
Perhaps you should consider a Stelvio?

I fear it too! I will inspect .... but I had replaced the rubber tube inside the tank only a couple of years ago. I have to find several containers for gasoline, the tank is full.

I was digging Roler.
BTW, Steve, I think you're on to something once you saw air in the furl system. I've seen instances where even a new pump has that hose come loose. If you need to replace it, make sure you get fuel line designed to be submerged in gasoline.

when about two years ago I had changed the pump I had put an unsuitable hose and after a while I had to replace it with one suitable to fit inside the petrol and I had used good quality clamps to fix it. now I have to empty the tank which is full and disassemble everything to check.
