Thanks for all the tips, I have to ask a couple more things. Is there a trick to getting the pulley off of the old water pump ? I got the bolts out and pulled on it and it wouldn't budge, I have not tried a pry bar out of fear of damaging it. The same question about the fan clutch, I removed the four bolts holding it to the fan blade and it would not move either, I have not tried anything other than my hand on both the pulley and the clutch before I go to prying on it just want to make sure I am not missing something else, thanks again for all the help.

To get the bolts off the water pump pulley, hook the belt back up if you removed it and provide counter torque by putting a breaker bar or wrench on the crank pulley.

For the fan, I use a wrench and wear a glove to hold a fan blade and break each nut loose before removing any of them. No matter how many times I have done this, I still hate doing it.

The bolts are out of the pulley on the water pump already, I used a strap wrench to hold the pulley. I am looking at the water pump trying to figure out how to get the pulley off to get to the last couple bolts. The new clutch arrived today so I can see what I have going on there but the bolts are out of the fan blade too. Thanks.

If the fasteners are out the pulley is just rusted or stuck to the pump shaft. A little PB blaster and a couple of taps from a soft face hammer should loosen it right up.

That is kind of where my thoughts were too, thanks for the confirmation.

Rubber hammer will get them off.

So the rubber mallet and PB Blaster worked, the pulley is off of the water pump and I also got the fan clutch off. When I removed the fan clutch the nuts were so seized up that of the 3 studs that were installed, 2 of them completely backed out because there was no way to hold them in place and remove the nut. On the 4th hole there was an actual bolt in there that is definitely a metric bolt. I see no reason why I can't just get 4 new bolts and reinstall rather than try to put the studs back in. I figure as long as the bolts aren't too long and the right thread and pitch it should not be an issue but I wanted to ask if there is some specific reason for the studs being in the pulley rather than regular bolts ? Thanks again for any help offered.

Any local auto parts store should have them too.
