It's not too bad, just don't be in a hurry. I installed mine solo over two days while on vacation. I did the front on day one and the rear on day two. Then did the u-joints and a transfer case drop the following week. It didn't vibe that bad, but it was noticable. And that was only 2.5" of lift.
Be sure to have a good floor jack, a come-a-long and bottle jack handy. Luckily XJs come with a bottle jack

$6000 in funny colored Monopoly money! :P Do they salt the roads in Kansas? Up here and in the northern US rust can be a maaaajor problem if you want to, oh I dunno, try and remove the rear shock bolts. lol
