Here is a picture of the two intakes mine is the one on the left and the newer one is on the right there are MAJOR differences between the two intake manifolds so.

I am just thinking about doing the Dodge Neon with 2.0L 96-02 or Stratus 2.0L 96-98 or 2.4L 96-99 injector swap I know that the injectors can be found in several other cars two like the Mazda protege with the 2.0L 98-2003

The 2.0L and the 2.4L are both Mitsubishi motors :-)

I pop the good on these cars everyday all day and I know cars very well and try to know what I am looking at before I before I start giving my customers advice.

I am very thankful for all of the advance and input tho I am not trying be be a jerk

The 2.0L started life in the 1989 eclipse, but the injectors on the first few years are different :-(

Yea...I gather there were some 0331's in late 99 though. Not absolutely sure on the manifold change, (likely), but if there's no dizzy, it's an 0331. (# faces up, on the left side of the head)

No need to reinvent the wheel here! Programbo knows injectors well. You might want those insulated jobs, Idk.

While they share displacement numbers, the 2.0 and 2.4 Chryco motors are not Mitsu motors.

I think that the '99 GC introduced the 0331 head 4.0, not the '99 XJ. Maybe the '99 Wrongler as well.

So that will be the 0630 head, and almost exactly the same as the 7120 you are replacing. The only difference is the lack of a threaded port for the temp Guage sender at the back of the head. Although that may only apply to the later castings ... Easy check.
Two fixes -
drill tap in standard place (1/8" NPT threaded)
Relocate to the thermostat housing and add length to stock wire.
Both basic and easy compared to a head swap.

Well I got everything pulled off of the junkyard cherokee and about to pull the head and the little ****er uses 12point sockets and not 6point well long store short I will be back at the junkyard Monday morning pull the head and I have found another cherokee with the 7120 head so I am going with that one from a 94 same year as mine :-)

But I did pull the axle and transfercase pulling the pair only took about 2-2 1/2 hrs and a little bit of laying in 2 1/2 inches of dust and dirt

I also pulled all the shifter linkage for the transfercase because my buddy is making his 01 grand cherokee part time 4x4 and now he is going to throw away his super dana30 because it is a super piece of crap!!! It is puking gear lube from both inner diff seals and it has the ****ty cv style axle shafts

Thanks for the clarification guys. I'd thought some 0331's "leaked" back in to late 99 XJ's....

"the little ****er uses 12point sockets and not 6point" Agreed Ken7, I don't think the hex needed to be upgraded to torx ether! An unnecessary hassle.
