ALong the same lines, you dont really need a compressor, ive installed 3 inch lift springs and the my 6.5 coils with 1.5 inch spacer with NO compressor

It would be better to leave the coil spring retainers on until you get the lower control arms disconnected to make sure the springs do not unseat and fly out.

I read somewhere that swapping a d35 with an 8.25 you will need larger u bolts, is this true? Or can I use the same size?

Yes, you will have to have different U Bolts that will fit the larger tube size. Might as well order them now. It wouild also help a lot and make things go faster if you had the top plate the ubolts go through for the 8.25 also.

When the spring stays compressed by the vehicle weight it should not be a problem, but when flexing offroad it could allow the spring to pop out. You could retap the holes and use a larger retaining bolt.

I'm going to be doing this swap tomorrow, anything else that I should replace while I'm working on this?
