First off I am not saying anyone should drive at highway speeds without a front swaybar because it is dangerous. I do however think that the danger of not having a front swaybar depends on your vehicle and type of lift. I have a friend whose cherokee has the Rock Krawler 8" lift and that thing sways way too much to drive on the road much faster than 25 (his is the 3 link front). My cherokee has an 8" lift where the control arms are custom, but very similar to the Rustys arms, and mine does not feel much different driving down the road with or without the swaybar. Of course as said previously the main danger is quick maneuvers at high speeds and after driving with no swaybar one time down the freeway when someone stopped abruptly in front of me I can tell you that I will not hit the freeway again without it. But I usually just leave it off cause my Jeep is not my daily driver, I live close to the trails, and I dont drive it fast to get there.

I copied and pasted what I wrote on a post that asked the same thing a few days ago. For more people opinions from that post -->CLICK HERE<--
"Yes he may be fine and nothing happens until the day he need to change lanes hard or something. I mean you dont gain but a little flex from it. I would just spend the little money it takes to buy some disconnects and be safe rather than save that little bit of money and find urself upside down in a ditch. I mean is the chance of flipping your jeep and maybe killing urself or someone else really worth that little flex or that little bit of money disconnects cost?
I have no rear but do run my front. I have disconnects and just take them out when off road and put them back when Im done. It is not that hard or expensive to do. "

I inherited my XJ a month or two ago and I know some thing was wrong with the suspension, it drove...squishly like in the front. after a little inspection this morning my connecting rods broke and the sway bar is...well swaying.
guess I should fix this

I removed the rear and didnt notice a thing. I just keep the tools with me to unbolt the front to gain flex. It takes like 3 min to undo the front swaybar and put it back on. mod = $0 + a bungee cord i had sitting around
