It's your choice...but the day will come when you wish you had it connected.
I have seen numerous vehicles rolled because they removed the front swaybar, including XJ's. Just saying...

Not that I know of. But if you have a welder and a cutting device it would be simple to make some up.

how can you say it was because the sway bar was gone the vehicle rolled. there are plenty of rollovers that happen with sway bars connected. unless you go and under the exact same conditions manage to prevent a vehicle from rolling by connecting a sway bar i call BS. when you hit the point when a vehicle is going to roll 5 lbs worth of metal and 2 tiny nuts are not going to prevent anything.

go swerve 90 degrees at 70 MPH in an XJ stock ride height, stock suspension, stock tires minus sway bars its going to roll. now put the sway bars back in guess what its still rolls.

I'll set up an obstacle course that you must maintain a certain speed (actually we'll use the EVOC course that's already setup). You have your XJ without a front swaybar and I'll have my XJ with a front swaybar and we'll see who can complete it without being disqualified... Anyone one want to wager on which XJ will complete the course???

Agreed... The entire purpose of a sway bar is to reduce body roll when cornering. I'll go with everyone on the rear one being unnecessary, I've never had a truck or suv that had one besides my xj, but the front one is there for good reason... I've heard of many people on here fabbing up discos for the front, and many have found very simple and effective ways of doing it... So please please please, do yourself a favor and keep the front swaybar.

Everyone is forgetting the OPs original question and instead turning this into yet another swaybar debate. He wants to know if it is legal in PA, not whether 10,000 people think he should do it or not.
When I bought my Jeep from OH, it had no front bar. I asked around on a local Jeep forum and found someone who was willing to give me a free bar. When I got to his place, he cut the mounts off with an angle grinder. He was talking about getting it inspected within the next month so maybe it's not required. Then again, maybe it depends on which country hick garage you go to whether they care or not.

I had a friend give me some 3" lift blocks and figured it would be an easy install...I put them on without much trouble but didn't check my tire rotation...yep, I'm a noob but learning....anyway, the sway bar in the rear was rubbing the inside wall of one tire so I removed it...I haven't noticed and handleing issues yet but I plan to keep the one in the front.

This thread clarified something that's been getting on my nerves for years. My father-in-law is a retired trucker, and he drilled it into my wife's head that any Jeep is unstable. He based that on having seen too many rolled jeeps during his long career. Now I think I get it: he probably has seen a good many no-swaybar Jeeps rolled in his travels.

We had a spot in houston sway bar or not wranglers rolled when they were speeding. It was a bit of a blind corner. He could be talking about that.

It matter less on whos driving and more of if they have a sway bar or not. Anyone can panic when they are about to be hit and loose control, It just takes one yank of the steering wheel. Swaybars just make it easier to control the vehicle.

Do what you want, Its your life and I dont live in PA

I will say in Washington if you get into an accident, even a minor fender bender, and the cop sees that you are missing at least one of your swaybars, automatically a huge fine. Sway bars were designed as a safety device to make normal driving more comfortable. I do know that ANY state that has a vehicle inspection will fail immediately if the vehicle is missing any said "safety" devices. Only passing my knowledge I gained working at an insurance office for a few years.

And I will say, without any sway bar, the body does have a lot more wobble when making sudden moves or sharp corners. You'll feel it
