That is easier said than done my friend... There is no requirement for maintaining control of a vehicle when you get your license. How many people practice steering out of a skid?

Sure you can be the best driver in the world and prepare all you want but in no way can you be prepared for every possible circumstance that can happen when you are driving. You cant control when a deer might jump in the road, you cant control when a kid runs in the street to get a ball. Its better to be safe than sorry

I do, taught my wife how to and will teach my kid just like my dad taught me. Its not my fault people parents don't teach them how to drive correctly

Can't control black ice either and there are plenty of stock ride height vehicle with sway bars that roll on that every season. I am not saying I am super prepared I do however find the kid/ball scenario to be bs neighborhoods are 25mph zones for a reason. Even without swaybars you can get a good swerve in without rolling. Deer happen don't swerve hit the damn deer they do teach that at every driving school I know of. Sway bars are and always will be secondary to a driver knowing how to drive. Sway bars are an addon just like a lot of other silly things people take off vehicle. I haven't had a sway bar in my truck or jeep since I got them. I also know you can't prepare for everything I rolled the pickup on ice. Slid around and smacked a curb and it went over has nothing to do with sway bars seeing how the tracbar bolt was sheered. **** happens if you don't like that I don't have sways in oh well. With the current coils in it bodyrolls less than it did factory so the sway bar is now gone. Its not unsafe in my opinion and obviously several others leave it at that. If the OP wants to remove let him decide if he needs them I know 3 people I go wheeling with in cherokees alone that have no sway bars at all. Oddly enough none of them have had any issues rolling or anything else.

You are going to tell me that if a deer jumps out of the trees your first reaction is to hit it? What about if someone suddenly swerves into your lane to avoid something? You going to hit them too? We can play what if games all day. Truth be told the sway bars have a function to reduce body lean when the vehicle is asked to change it's direction of movement. They aren't designed to correct for driver error as you say.

If a deer jumps out just hit it....dont put your life in danger to avoid an animal. Thats just retarded. Everything else you said is valid.

This whole topic was about the legality of things, and maybe a little input on "why" it should/shouldn't be needed on a DD. This has gone farther than it should have. I hope the OP is having a field day reading all this! Darn you, look what you created lol

It isn't about a decision. It is about a reaction. If you are traveling 40MPH and something darts out in the roadway 20 feet ahead of you, you have a little more than 1/4 second to identify and react. If you know what your reaction is going to be then that is good. If not then you aren't alone in this world.

Thats just stupid, deer live all over the place. I have deer that live in my back yard and I live right in town. This topic is old and stupid, theres always one guy that says they are not needed cause he thinks he the worlds best driver or something.

How about you buy the cheap extended end-links and try them out. If you prefer to drive without a swaybar, sell them. People can argue all they want about it but its your loss if you dont make your own decision on it and believe what people spout on the internet. You lose the ability to think for yourself

I am not sure why you guys feel like everyone has to see things the same. This topic gets beat to death seems like every other day on here. The op said he wanted to remove his sway bars and that is for him to decide. Lets be adults about this. If you run without sway bars then that is up to you. If you feel that not having sway bars is dangerous then keep them. Very simple. please research first if you are going to remove them so you understand the reason they are on there from the factory.
