I have a 1" t/c drop 2 degree shims an a longer rear d/s from an 88 xj (shortened my yoke at the t/case) no vibes and no$$$ , I would like an sye but they are kind of $$ for the 242 t case

SYE aren't exactly hard, but there not easy, just gotta know what your doing. I would say with 3.5" dont even waste your time or money on one unless your gonna go bigger.
