Default t-case issues

my t-case is skipping really bad whenever im in 4lo or high Im thinking its the chain (hoping) so I was going to get a new one its for an np-231 23 spline but what I was wondering is what is a good upgrade/replacement and where can I order it from, and hopefully it is just the chain and nothing else, I believe the reason for it doing this is because I failed to realize I didnt have fluid in it for a while, so any advice would be appriciated

That's badass...
I'm sure it already exists on line, or here for that matter, but what's the torque limit on a 231 or (more importantly to me) a 242? And I don't mean torque as in HP/TQ limits necessary, but physical torque on the parts them selves.
