Tail Pipe Anyone?
I am trying to find a replacement tailpipe for my 2000 4.0 stock DD. The suggested Walker replacement (55188) is 2 inch ID. with the muffler I am using being the stock 2 1/4. Does anyone have a suggested brand or a better walker part number? I do not have a welder so whatever I do it has to a clamp system. I dont want to use an adapter if I can avoid it.

That's what I have too. I just bent a piece of pipe and cut it to make a turn down. Works just fine. Drone isn't bad unless doorless in OD going like 35 lol

With a turn down the fumes will still get away from the cab, just make sure to weld the system up and the velocity of the exhaust will carry itself out from under the Jeep. A tailpipe is just not worth the hassle IMO, i have one (Put on a Flowmaster super44 and the same tailpipe you're getting) and all it does is rattle n' leak.
In fact, I'm thinking of doing a turndown myself.

Not really, It'll be slightly louder in the cabin and maybe cause a little cab drone (Depends on what muffler you have), but it won't be any louder outside.

For what it's worth, I run a turn down at the muffler on my trail rig and run a tail pipe on my DD Jeep.

When I replaces my cat converter I had to replace the whole kit and kaboodle. It was all rusted together. A bought all walker parts and it turned out to be rather inexpensive. Probably around 250-300. I was expecting it to cost alot more.

But I seen my collecter and It wasnt a pretty sight its a shame I got such a badass header I was looking at a mandrel bent exhaust DIY kit on ebay for $+180 shipped to my door. Soooo im thinking 2-1/2" from collector, cattless, to my magnaflow and dumping at muffler. All smooth mandrel bent exhaust system 100% OPTIMUM FLOW! but my ears are open if you got cheap ideas
