Tcu location Jeep xj 1996

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me in locating the TCU on my son's 1996 Jeep xj 4x, 4.0 inline 6 thank you for your help.

Year: 98, 00, 01 and another 01

Model: Cherokee

Engine: both 01 jeeps have viper coil pack

got several from the junkyard real cheap.

under the lower dash on the passenger side, the panel below the glove box needs to be removed

It's rare that the TCU itself is bad. The most common issues are the shift cable adjustment, TPS, solenoids and wiring harness issues. Post your symptoms and we can suggest where to start diagnosing.
