I would say it heater core, and best way to flush new antifreeze. The heater core is under dash you can replace new one. $ 36 from auto zone

I believe the entire dash has to come out to get this heater core out? That's what a write-up showed over on JF. It's quite a bit of work.
You know what's funny regarding this thread? I'm eating chinese food right now.
I've been to the dealer about how much it costs to have the heater core replaced and i almost passed out. I read through the write-up on how to replace it myself and felt too lazy to do all that work just for heat so i decided i'm gonna get this instead:

I spoke with guys who drive *****'s in the cold and they said it works wonders.

Ive only had the jeep for a little over a month, so as far as where its been i dont know. and the smell happened for the first time when it was on high a couple days ago, then agin this morning, on full blast. it could be some sort of dead creature or mold, but like i said the smell has a real nauseating smell to it. Iv had a heater core leak in my 92 firebird that flooded the whole passenger side, and i changed that myself so i know how much of a pain it is. I just dont think its a antifreeze smell which is just mind boggling. Could be mold lke some of you said i guess lysol wouldnt hurt, thanks for all your tips guys

Caddy could your Jeep have been used to transport drugs?? Sounds like the smell is drug related. Same for you mudd, especially since your lips go numb.

If it is burning it can smell like overheated acid does in the lab if you ever took a chemistry class in High School.
Headache, definitely as it dilates all the blood vessels which is like the nitro that heart attack sufferers carry does. The way that they are sure it is not a heart attack is they get an enormous headache and no relief for their chest pain.

I am going through a similar problem. When i use the heat, it smells very funny and i get really sick. I can taste something funny in the air, i get a headache, and my lips go numb. It's so weird, and kinda scary enough for me not to use the heat. I am thinking i have a heater core leak. It could be mold but that wouldn't make me sick within 5 minutes of using the heat.
do you get dizzy and nausious too? if you do it could be an exhaust leak. the carbon monoxide filling your cabin. if it happens again, open your windows and air the truck out, and see if the feeling goes away
