What if anything are you guy using to stop someone from stealing your jeep? I know a alarm system will be the ticket but I need a low cost drive way thing. Like a hidden kill switch, battery disconnect, any budget Ideas?

Yeah I don't really worry about mine being stolen, least of all from my driveway. It's only about 15 ft. from my bedroom window, and the Glock is right there on the nightstand. They wouldn't get far.

Don't have a kill on the Jeep but I do on my truck. It has a switch under the dash that needs to be switched for the power to get to the coil. I thus can switch it in a bad part of town and feel safe that no bad guy is gonna drive my junk over the border. On my Jeep I would put a ground wire from the CPS and just have a switch which will not let the CPS get a signal back to the ECU. 5volts and it can be disguised as a fog light switch or a rear defogger switch. That way everything looks normal and only you know the combination of which to switch to get it to start.

Yeah I don't think sitting in your driveway is any guarantee..my car before the jeep was stolen in my driveway with the front door open minutes after I walked in the front door..
Disconnect the CPS is a sure fire no start. I have a antistart card or what ever they call it..I just pull it and keep it with me attached to my key chain..

Mine has the neutral disconnected and a push button starter. You need the Key and to know what your doing to get it started.. Even hot wiring don't work with this set up.. Cost me about $3.50

CPS= Crank Position Sensor which is mounted to the top side of the trany bellhousing on the drivers side..and plugs in at the fuel rail area..Without it you get no spark since there will not be enough rpm's to fire up..

I put one on my old chevy truck to the power wire for the coil. I plan on putting one on my XJ.. I had a hidden switch, but have heard of people wiring up the cig lighter or the floor mounted bright switch to work as a kill switch.
I would do a write up on it but I wouldnt want everyone knowing how to get by the kill switch... would kind of defeat the purpose..
