things to check after 6+ years of of being parked
Well i will use my xj around on parents farm to help out till i get my licence to drive and get a job i have never been over 25 miles per hour in it yet and it stays at 220 it leaks a bit of coolant on the bumper on the passenger side but its small But are there things that go bad after sitting for a long time like my 4wd that bothers me
Things i have done-
flushed oil
new batt
new tank
new fuel sending unit
new fuel pump
Checked trany fluid
smoked at first but my dad said that was normal for oil car and something about seals soon enough she stoped smoking so far i went 10 miles every thing seems ok except the pcv hose thing. thanks

in it I described what i did when i first got my jeep after it sat for a year and wasnt driven. I too use it on a farm during the day and at night for rescue & recovery. So I am hard on it..
220 is "normal" for our jeeps, they run better around that temp.

probly be a good idea too if u didnt already, replace the fuel filter, air filter and check the serp. belt. mine sat for 6-8 years before i got it. i had to replace the tank, fuel pump and filter, with a few new rubber hoses and it runs fine
