Default Those Ebay headers with the bellows....

I've got that wonderful ticking noise. It's engine speed dependant and stops when I lift off. I reckon it's time for new headers.

Seeing as the APN isn't available over here for anything less than a small fortune, are Ebay link any good? I realise they're not superb but I just want something that isn't cracked and doesn't have any horror stories.

Thanks!
Morat

im in the market for an aftermarket exhaust as well, so subscribing. I just want to point out to the rest of us in the USA that those headers are $1649.80 American. Thats crazy, is that a normal price for parts in the UK Morat?

Lots of people run them, i have heard with slight fitment issue with it hitting the intake manifold, but have heard installs going super smooth.

I've done two of them the APN and the gibson header. The gibson no fitment problems, the APN had the grind the manifold down in the front and in the rear for clearance, its just the webbing that you'll have to grind down almost flat in the front, the rear now not so much. They will all crack again eventually, I hear the way to prevent this was the install a flex pipe from the flange to the cat to allow flex.

100 pounds is about 165 dollars right now so I think you might have slipped in an extra 0
But yeah, parts are cheaper in the USA until you factor in shipping and import duty :/

Lol I just checked the link! They should be 99 not 9909. I won't be buying at that price.

I've used a couple of flea bay headers, fit is not too bad but longevity is an issue.A year or two at best and you will be doing it again.....

Ya, I was def in sticker shock mode when I saw that price! I mean you can buy a whole xj for that price haha, not just the headers
Im really interested in the flex pipe idea in order to take away most of the vibrations. I only worry about it effecting smog since I live in Comifornia.

I installed a stainless set that I got off the bay with the bellows. Going for two years now with no issues. Do yourself a favor once you receive them. Plug the bottom with something and fill with water till it's up to the welded junction to check for leaks. I had gotten a set with a bad weld out of the box. It sucks doing it twice..
