Along with that sweet mod you would get better results if you added a cyclone intake insert, and make sure you grease the muffler bearings.
That'll add great deal of acceleration.

Laugh and joke all you guys want. I know that it doesn't add any horsepower or torque. But I do think it gets on it a little better now.

Basically the gas pedal is raised higher. If you floor it your gonna break or bend something because it's now beyond its limit.

'Hanks Law': The number of zip ties (increasing) on your throttle linkage is inversely proportional to the mechanical aptitude (decreasing) you possess.

I think he's just trying to get his post numbers up so he can "legally" start posting zip ties in the "for sale" section.

OP,they are supppose to be useful posts.

This is both funny & stupid.

This is a useful post to me. Just trying to get everyone's opinion on the subject.

Look.. I'm not trying to be mean. But this is not a mod and there is no benefit. Tightening the little slack is not gonna do anything. There is no gains whatsoever.
I can see if you have a FAT floor mat under it. Maybe.. But people are going to flame on this regardless.
Just take the zip ties off and get a bored throttle body.

x2, definitely a great laugh for the weekend!

Doesn't mean I'm not going to pitch in my 2¢.

Listen to Dan on this one! A guy on eBay rebuilds and bores TB's for a great deal. You have to send him the core.

Good luck!

V/r,
awsgrayrd.

Thank you everyone for your feedback on this idea. After reading all your comments, I am going to take the zip ties off. I will probably get the TB bored out like a couple of you are suggesting.
