Thump on driver side floorboard
Recently started thumping on driver side floorboard, happens when turning right. Checked control arms all tight. its a laud thump and you can really feel it with left foot on floor.

Check to make sure you still have all of your lug nuts, check your shocks. Does it do it at any speed just as long as you turn right? Does it do it when your backing up and turning right as well??

woah this just recently happened to me yesterday.
except for me its when i turn both ways in reverse as well as forward.
for me its also a louder pop when i turn right and duller when i turn left.
anyone find any reasons? steering column?
i checked the tie rods and theyre not popping.

yes i need to put some thread locker on there and want bump up to a grade 8 instead of the metric 8.8. And often, no, but once or twice a year, then yea. But it typically is brought on by the cold for some weird reason.

I have a thump thump sound too... mine is the upper track bar "ball joint". It is worn and has play in it. I had my wife slowly turn the wheel back and forth and not only could I hear it, I was able to feel it as well.

Does yours do it when you are sitting still?? If my jeep is idling at a stop I can turn the steering full lock both directions without any binding/popping/thumping, it only happens at slow speed or mud holes??
