Default Tie Rod question

There was a weird noise from down there a while ago and I checked and my tie rod looked like that. So is my tie rod bent or is it supposed to look like that?

Heres the side I think is bent (passenger)

Heres the other side for reference (driver)

How much lift do you have, if any?

Tie-rods will tend to lay at an angle, but yours doesnt look quite right

One way to test, place a jack under the joint, with wheels on the ground initially

apply just a bit of pressure and see if the joint moves "excessively"

This is subjective, but you will see "freeplay" (if there is any) and lever it about

repeat the test with that wheel raised slightly off the ground

compare each side with the test

The angle looks fairly normal. The boot on it is blown and leaking grease though.
