Default Time for a new engine?

Hey guys,

Have a 91 cherokee thats been sitting for a couple years. It broke down sometime ago and just had it towed to my house.

Here the pictures of some damage. My question is. Is this a whole rebuild/engine or by chance can it be something easier?

It appears to me all major components of that engine would be destroyed or damaged

In that instance, a used replacement is the cheapest option

You've kidding, right? You've blown parts though the oil pan and you want to know if there is a simple fix????

Your engine isn't supposed to pow. When was the last oil change before the pow?

I don't understand any of you guys, my mechanic told me if I just put TriboTex in my oil I'd never have to change it again

I would just snip that hole in the pan, but i would warrant a big end has let go and the conrod has made a real mess

You will be able to see if the crank or bottom of block is damaged

Used or rebuilt would be the best option for you. I'm basing that opinion mostly on the fact that you had to ask.

If you pull the oil pan, take pictures. I'd love to see the carnage.
