Why don't people just go off roading when it's cooler so they don't overheat, how hard is that?

it needs to be replaced correct!

but until then grab a bar of soap, and rub it on the outside and plug the tiny hole. then use a bit of HIGH TEMP tape to cover it until you can get a new one. this is only a temp fix, mainly used on the trails for gas tanks and rad's. but it will get you buy for a couple of days or a week until you can replace it

dude you come to this site for advise i know you said you dont have money for new but what im saying is there is no other way to fix a rad you can have it recored or replaced putting pepper egg or any other junk will cause even more money to be spent think what egg pepper or flower would do if it plugs a hole what do you think it will do to the stat or the water pump heater valve heater core coolant passage like i said the only way and prob the cheapest way is to replace it if your lucky you might find a decent one in a jy take a gallon or two of water with you to test it holds water but a new one is not that pricy

Default You can always roll the dice at the JY.

My POS even came with a new Rad. I still had to flush it 6 times until the crud got out. When in doubt flush the crap out of it. You are in FL. I took my T-stat out "temporarily" just to help with flushing. no one will tell you that removing your T-stat is a good idea. After removing it and flushing it to death, I dont have to keep my heater on to keep the engine cool. good luck

Is the hole in the tank or the tubes? If it is in one of the tubes, you can pinch that one tube shut on both sides of the hole. You gotta replace it anyway, but this may get you by until you have the cash. If the hole is in the tank at the side of the radiator, you can try some sort of epoxy patch type stuff. www.rockauto.com will have a radiator for cheap.

Drain, dry, clean, and solder (okeh) or braze (better.) Depending on the location of the pinhole, you may not even need to remove the thing to effect the repair!

If you can't braze, find someone local who can, you should be able to do so fairly easily in your chapter.
