google 'chalk test for tires" i used this to find a good psi for my brand new 32' 11.50 15 bfg km2's (street driving conditions), what you do is take some chalk and draw a thick line across the tread of your tire, then drive 100 or so feet forward down the street (like in a parkinglot or down your neiborhood)and then pop her in reverse and go back 100 feet to were you started be sure to drive straight. after you do that hop out and look at your chalk line and you should have the chalk wearing evenly across the tire if chalk is gone in the middle but stills remains on the edges then take your psi down (tire is over inflated) and vise versa for under inflation. once the chalk wears evenly across the tread that psi should promote even wear i saw this in a magizine and tryed it so far it seems like it worked. i ended up at 3o psi and started at 35.. at 35 psi cou could visually see the tread in the center contacting most it looks almost flush at 30 some people say this doesnt work and so on but it makes sense to me im very picky on caring for the $1000 tire investment lol im going to keep an eye on them just incase.... any other tips?
