Tire question
I just bought a 95 chrekee 2wd and ir has 31" tires withour a lift and it rubs bad when i turn. What size tires should i use without a lift 235/75 15 and the rims are wide. So will i need different rims or can the tires be strerched on those rims?

You should be fine with the 235/75 and a stock rim. if you want aftermarket rim, If I'm not mistaken you want a 4.5" back space to make sure you don't get a rub.

How can i tell if it is a stock rim? i need to get rid of the rub, besides when i reach 47mph it wobbles. I think there after market rims and looks like more then 4.5" back space.

235's are fine on 5.5-8" wheel.
Go by your local tire store to see if they can tell if your wheels are custom or stock.
Or post a picture here. We can tell you.

You can
1) Do a budget boost
2) Get wider backspacing wheel (stock, i believe, is 5.25; so anything smaller)
3) Wheel spacer
4) or get smaller tire (I still think 235 would rub a little on LCA)

My ex had a 2WD and we put some 235/75-15 on stock wheels and never had any kind of rub, fender or LCA. Just saying my experiences with them.

Whats the xj mean? Also i just picked up some 5 spoke steel cherokee rims from a wrecking yard for a good price. So 235/75/15's will work without rubbing. Or should i get 225/75/15's? The door jam says 215/75/15 but those are to thin.

XJ is the factory code for Cherokee. Kinda like TJ, YJ, ZJ, CJ, etc.
I just priced tires for my XJ today actually. Funny thing, the garage said the 225's were dinosaurs (what Im currently running) and they were a LOT more than the 235's and the 235's were only like a half inch taller and a half inch wider. Last time I bought 225's was about 4 years ago and they were $84 mounted and balanced. He said he'd have to check to be certain, but he thought the same 225's were $134 now, but the bigger 235's were $104. Those will fit NO PROBLEMS on my stock XJ. They should on yours too.

Tires of the same brand, model, and series step up about $2.50 per time the size steps up.
I don't know why their price difference is so great.
The OP's wheels are aftermarket/custom. His wheels are just fine; and 225/75R15's are just fine for his Jeep without spending more money for junkyard steelies.
