Tire and Rim fit
I have a line on 16'' rims with 30x9.5 tires already installed. They are a great deal that I would hate to pass up, my question is, will these fit my 01 Sport without a lift?

That's really not very different from what he's talking about. An inch or less smaller in diameter, and the width is only off by about 1/4". Plus that backspacing pushes it out another 3/4", so I think he'll be perfectly fine. Is was running 31 x 10.5 with factory wheels on my old XJ that just had a really small budget boost, maybe an inch or so.

Some of the "01's" came with 16" tires but I'm unsure about the BS on them. What are these wheels off of as far as make/model/yr. if unsure make sure you read the date code on the tire as to how old they are.
My guess would be that they will rub on a stock 01 XJ without some work done.

Remember that these might not be OEM wheels too. if the BS really is 4.5", I think there'll be plenty of room. They probably will hit the LCA's at full lock, but mine do that too and it's easy enough to get used to.

They should not be for sure, rims are just to cheap to not use the correct wheel size and BS. A D-Window or Soft Eight steel knock-off from Summit or Jegs are under $50 with free shipping.

These are stock Jeep rims, the guy was running them on a Wrangler, backspacing is 4.5'' just wanted to check to see if the tires would fit without a lift. Thanks for the answers guys.

If possible, maybe you should try 'em before you buy 'em. Or get a money-back guarantee.
I don't recall any XJ ever coming with 16" wheels from the factory.
Since the Wrangler is body-on-frame, what fits them is never a guarantee it will fit an XJ.

Yea I was planning on doing that, but 100.00 for 5 rims with tires in good shape, figured it would be silly to pass them up.
