Tire on roof
Bought some 31's and got a brand new spare and it's really cramped in the spare mount. I'm looking for ideas on how to get it up on the roof w/o a basket and not having tacky ratchet straps. Looking for a little security since i dropped 200 on the tire. any ideas???
ps. not looking to spend too much
Thanks

Personally, I highly suggest you don't. May look cool, but the practicality of it, the ease of it being stolen, and if you actually need to you it, it will be more a pain in the @#$ then its worth.
Raises your center of gravity noticeably, lowers your overall MPG by 1-2 MPG, and when it comes time to you it would you really want to climb on the top of your jeep and try to hoist it down. Just saying..
It does look good in a roof rack though.
My personal opinions.

Pull the headliner, drill a 1/2" hole, throw a long lag bolt through with a hole in the end of it. Put the bolt through a lug hole on the rim, put a wing nut on it, then a padlock through the small hole in the bolt.
