The issue there is actually the width of the tire on stock rims. 30x9.5 won't rub. If you get rims with lesser backspacing or spacers the problem will cease, too.

I want to thank you for the advise. I had the 30x9.5's installed & NO rubbing! Full size spare also fits without modifications.

Bigger tires with no lift...
My wife's 01 with 30" BFG's. No issues at all. Sorry 'bout the crappy pic in the dark...
31" BFG's on my old 2WD Grand. Had to slightly trim the front valance slightly.
Rubicons with 235/75-16 Hankooks on my 2WD 01. No rub unless I hit a driveway while turning just right, but it's just a light rub.
