Tired front springs
I recently got a 94 Cherokee Sport to plow my driveway. The front springs are obvisouly tired and need changed.I need at least 2-3 " lift to keep the plow lower frame off the ground. Is there a inexpensive way to lift the front end with springs from a Grand Cherokee w/V8.This vehicle is not on the road,so do I need to change the shocks also. Thanks

There is a "budget build" thread sticky at the top of this page, it should have a nice selection of what will work to lift the front. The shocks shouldn't be an issue if you are just plowing with it. Also, I know it is just used for plowing, but keep in mind the plowing puts a lot of stress on the front end and some people say it leads to problems.

I have a 95 XJ Sport with 3 or 3.5" (can't remember) full pack in rear and ZJ V8 coils with 2" puck in front on 31" BFG ATs
6.5 Meyer MM w/ poly blade
I have used this Jeep to plow the sidewalks & loading docks in a 27 acre shopping mall for the last 7 years.
Because I only use this Jeep to plow, the floors and rockers have rusted so bad you can literally put your feet out.
And I still use it to bash through 4-5ft packed snow banks.
It's hit curbs and manhole covers at 15-20 mph many many times
The only real damage that's been done has been to the plow...not the Jeep
I wish my other (big dollar) plow trucks were half as reliable
