Tires for 2" Lift
Just bought another 2000XJ..... came with a 2" lift front and back. This XJ will be 99% daily driver in alot of snow and ice 6 months out of the year. It'll need new rubber by October. What are the largest tires I can fit will no trimming. Would a 30x9.5 be stretch?

I just put a set of 235 on my DD with a 2" lift only because I use it to tow my sleds in the winter and didn't want the 30's to drag the motor down too much. 30's will fit fine if I wanted.

30x9.50 will fit with no problems. To run 31x10.50 you will get some rubbing at full flex. With 10.50's you will probably have problems with the tire rubbing the leaf springs if you are running stock wheels. For no worries just run the 30x9.50.

i have the exact same thing. its a 1997 cherokee, 2 inch coil boosters in the front and 2 inch blocks in the back, just put a set of 30x9.5 wrangler gsa's under it. no rub at full flex even, rides nice, still have good power, i trimmed the fenders anyways but more for looks than purpose, they fit just fine before the trim. so yeah your good with 30s

I installed a 2" lift and currently have 235's on the car. By the way, they were on the car when I got it. The 235's from what I understand translate to 29's. By going to 31's you will only gain one inch of height. I am confident that 31's will work with a 2" lift without a problem. The only problem I could encounter if they are deflated with disconnects on the front, the front tires will rub on the sway bar.
