Picking up some parts from a used XJ. Seller has a new radiator but attached is a torqflo fan. No shroud around it and the torqflo website doesn't refer to any need for one nor do they sell one [that I could find].
Anyone out there familiar with the good and/or bad with this brand of fan?

He is stating "that radiator has a new electric fan on it. It's mounted with those little plastic rods that you put through the radiator and cut them off... I would rather not disturb them because you usually bang up the fins trying to get them off. So would you buy the fan for $10.00?"
The radiator is really cheap, my XJ is a 91 and from everything I can see, all original in this area: original radiator, original fan etc...

Just looking for info on quality of the fan and any heads ups on what to be aware of.

From my experience, I'd say don't buy it. The Torqflo fan clutch is what Autozone sells. I bought one, put it in, and was defective right off the bat. It was leaking fluid and making all sorts of jingling noises. If you need a new fan clutch, I'd recommend going to NAPA for it.
