Torque Converter Lockup
I was having an issue with my AW4 slipping last month so I swapped the filter and replaced the fluid (just a service replacement, didn't drain the torque converter). Since then, my slipping problem is gone but I've still got an odd TC lockup hunting issue that existed prior to the maintenance. I'll try to explain exactly what is happening...
As I accelerate from a stop, my AW4 shifts normally through the gears (1st-3rd) and will always lockup OD as long as I'm accelerating. However, when I reach my desired speed and feather the throttle back it will unlock the TC. The slightest pressure on the accelerator and it will lock up again but as soon as I level off it will kick out of lockup. One other oddity is that if I'm accelerating with any gusto, there will be some slippage when the torque converter locks up [see shift graph below]. This doesn't happen if I'm accelerating gently. I checked the solenoids while I was changing the filter and all were producing 14-15 Ohm resistance. My fluid (Chevron Dex/Merc III) is clear pink and smells normal and the fluid level is correct the best I can tell. Any ideas what might be causing the hunting and slipping on lockup?

One thing for sure if not already done:
See post # 10 in my link.
Test the TPS on the trans side lately?

I have not tested the TPS at all. I did, however, adjust the kickdown cable which I failed to mention in my original post. I will test the TPS this weekend. I've read your write-up several times but been a little intimidated by the TPS which seems delicate and finicky. I swear it seems like just pulling the hood release causes something critical to go out of adjustment.
