I mean this one which should be fixed on the car:

I got a set from the junkyard, they were free with the bumper:
Now the issue as I understand it is that the mounting points for the recovery hooks is not very solid on the XJ due to the unibody construction. Some people go so far as to use a front mounted tow hitch that ties both sides of the frame (such as it is) together.

The frame is just sheet metal and that hook without reinforcement will pull the frame apart. The ones they are suggesting will spread the pull through a greater section of the sheetmetal frame.

x2 what Blue said. The hooks are easy to come by and inexpensive, but you'll need unibody brackets if you intend to actually use them. C4x4 makes a good set of brackets that you can order with or without hooks:

The hooks themselves can be found just about anywhere; Advance Auto, NAPA, Wal-Mart, etc. But I'd invest in some aftermarket brackets, or score some factory ones from a junkyard.

Don't know what he thinks but they were the inspiration for my homebuilt winch bumper. I think they have the best design out there.

I have not used their bumpers personally but I have seen alot of good reviews on their products, which is why we decided to carry them. For us personally they have been very easy to work with. They worked with me and a customer who was in a wheel chair to try to come up with a tire carrier release that would work better for him and his situation.
