Ok so I've been looking at what the voltage is supposed to be and I found what looked like a great write up on it. But now looking in the Haynes manual it's saying a little different. Anyone know which is correct

The CherokeeForum writeup is accurate for an 89, including the adjustment which is not possible on the later years. The Haynes tends to be generic across the years. Also, for the TPS it's more important that the voltage change smoothly between the minimum and max with no hiccups.

I followed @cruiser54 's directions for my 89 XJ. It was pretty straight forward and turned out great.

The TPS on the '91s and later also mount differently and have a single connector (no 4 pin connector).

Why bother with the Haynes when you can have the real FSM!!

I guess my question is why does the Haynes manual talk about what the voltage should be with throttle closed and throttle wide open? Going by what cruiser says im very close to the threshold. But according to haynes saying with throttle wide open should be just under 4.5 volts im way out of threshold. WOT im at 3.65 volts closed is .78 volts both those measurements are on the output side.
