Default Tps high idle

I was told to replace my tps bc my jeep wouldn’t shift so I did that and now it idles high it’s a 90xj

The TPS is likely misadjusted or not engaging correctly and holding the throttle open. The mounting holes on the older throttle position sensors are slotted and you have to use a multimeter to adjust it to the correct position before you tighten down the screws
